I Am UCF
2016 - 2019
Through a university-funded grant to improve undergraduate educational opportunities, I served as the principal investigator of a project entitled "I Am UCF." Along with faculty from UCF's Digital Media program (Natalie Underberg-Goode), Writing and Rhetoric program (Natasha Jones and Stephanie Wheeler), and Social Justice and Advocacy (Edwanna Jones), "I Am UCF" engaged students in theatre and digital storytelling to explore their campus identity. Students complete individual digital storytelling projects, which were presented on a sortable virtual I Am UCF campus map to celebrate the diverse and rich stories of the UCF campus body. I Am UCF was incorporated by seven teachers for over 800 undergraduate students in 16 courses across a wide variety of disciplines, including History, Psychology, Women and Genders Studies, and Foreign Languages.
