High Impact Practices
I teach multiple University-sanctioned High Impact Practice courses, designed to deepen student learning beyond the typical class experience. In these courses, students reflect on prior experiences, make connections across disciplines, engage with the community, and sharpen academic and professional goals. Several of these courses work in tandem with the Jeanette M Gould Traveling Theater. The photos and reflection video below are from the Fall 2023 Creative Drama course:

Still Footage from Student-Directed Productions
Student-directed productions were a core component of my work with the Timber Creek Thespians. Upper level students completed directing projects that required them to research a show, develop a director's concept, and prepare a scene to direct. Students also received training in creating budgets, season selection, and other practical components of theatre management.
Students then applied for the opportunity to direct their junior or senior year. With the full support of a design team as well as teacher advisors, students directed the production from start to finish, including casting, creating a rehearsal schedule, and participating in production meetings.
